Rain-X Latitude - Window Pane Replacement Review
Having said that; I recall the old days whenever you could buy replacement wipers for a few dollars rather than replacing the whole blade assembly. As I mentioned we have high winds in Illinois and I haven't had a single trouble with blades "lifting" from the windshield. We put up with that for an entire year.
Installed them in November and was pleased: good wiping, little ice build-up. To exchange the whole blade is pricey.
These wipers made by Bosch are the best wipers I have tried personally. I'll be buying these again when it's time. They are not really All Season Wipers for most of the continental USA. My complaint isn't with Amazon (service was excellant), something is wrong and I do not have an answer.
These blades are much better compared to rain-x blades which I final tried. Set up super easy and the locking mechanism appears well designed and provides me confidence they will not be flying off! We both spent additional time on the side of the street, cleaning the ice/snow from these, hoping they'd maintain connection with the glass. Instead of normal wipers, with brackets, these wipers convey more tension on the windshield. To the blades: How do they function? It would appear that the blade comes with an issue with not applying enough stress where it mounts.
Clean swipes overtime on my Chevy HHR with very little noise (might be noisy when almost dry, but quiet while it is raining). I had to tape it using electrical tape because it was not a snug match.
Even at higher speeds they do not flutter or miss an area. I actually do find that around some ends the wiper doesn't make complete contact plus some water escapes.
My vehicle is a BMW X5, and the Bosch data sheet is incorrect. These wipers don't create the irritating smears the Lattitude did.
These are the first auto body Vancouver wipers that I've ever used and wasn't initially sure how well they'd work because I'm accustomed to seeing the more rigid style wipers.
